The son of visual artists, Leonardo Caire had early exposure to music and the arts. He began his musical studies with the drum set, exploring various musical genres such as jazz and rock. In order to broaden his range of musical experiences, he transitioned to classical percussion. At the age of 19, he joined the prestigious Music Academy of the São Paulo State Symphony Orchestra (OSESP), where he earned his diploma in the specialization course and professional practice in orchestral percussion.
With a solid national and international career, Leonardo has played with renowned symphonic groups in Brazil, such as the São Paulo State Symphony Orchestra (OSESP), Brazilian Symphony Orchestra (OSB, Rio de Janeiro), and Minas Gerais Philharmonic Orchestra. He has also collaborated with esteemed European groups, including the Philharmonie Südwestfalen Orchestra (Germany), Antwerp Symphony Orchestra (Belgium), Kammer Oper Köln (KOK, Cologne, Germany), Kammerphilharmonie Europa (Germany), Oviedo Symphony Orchestra (Spain), Subbotnik Collective (Düsseldorf, Germany), AxisModula Collective (Strasbourg, France), Latin Orchestra of Europe (LOE, Germany), among others. Leonardo has shared the stage with great musicians such as Emmanuel Pahud, Nelson Freire, Yo-Yo Ma, Joshua Bell, Antonio Meneses, and conductors like Alondra de La Parra, Frühbeck de Burgos, Yan Pascal Tortelier, Marin Alsop, Neil Thomson, Elim Chan, among others. Additionally, he has played alongside important icons of Brazilian popular music, including Lenine, Alceu Valença, Frejat, Morais Moreira, Mônica Salmaso, among others.
Currently, he lives between Brazil and Germany, aiming to facilitate international cultural partnerships and initiatives. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in timpani and percussion at the prestigious and traditional Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln (Cologne, Germany).
